On Nov. 27, the school's administrators contacted police after finding a firearm in a backpack belonging to a student under the age of 8. A staff member noticed the gun while placing a note for the child's parents in the backpack.

Globe's Rescheduled 'Hometown Holiday' Weekend: Exciting Events on December 8th and 9th
The 'Hometown Holiday' First Friday Event, initially planned for an earlier date, has been rescheduled to December 8, 2023, due to weather concerns. The event will occur in Globe from 3:00 - 7:00 PM. It will include over 100 vendors, a snow globe photo booth, a community tree lighting, and caroling. Attendees are invited to participate in the singing.

On Saturday, December 9, Globe’s annual Christmas Light Parade will illuminate the night in the city’s historic downtown.
