Man charged with cocaine trafficking after drug bust in Cumberland County, deputies say
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — A man is facing charges after a search yielded drugs in a Fayetteville home Wednesday, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office. At 9:10 a.m., deputies said they issued a narcotics search warrant on the 6500 block of Schaffer Place in Fayetteville with the assistance of the Special Response Team and the K-9 Unit.
White Oak Fire Department receives improved ISO rating
WHITE OAK, N.C. (WECT) - The White Oak Fire Department recently received an improved ISO rating from the North Carolina Office of State Fire Marshal, according to a WOFD announcement. White Oak FD received an ISO Class 6 rating, improving from its 9S rating, which it had for 41 years.

Florence man receives double life sentence for fatal 2020 shooting
LUMBERTON, N.C. (WPDE) — Xavier Green of Florence pled guilty to two counts of murder during a hearing on Tuesday, according to Robeson County District Matthew Scott. Police said Green shot and killed two women in July 2020 outside the Family Dollar on East 5th Street in Lumberton. Officials said the shooting was random and Green didn’t know the victims, Kayla Kyle and Kimberly Hunt.
