Charley's Tavern to be featured on America's Best Restaurants
LAKE HOPATCONG: – Local restaurant Charley’s Tavern will be hosting a visit from America’s Best Restaurants (ABR) in late May 2024. America’s Best Restaurants, a national media and marketing company focusing on bringing attention to local, independently-owned restaurants, will bring its ABR Roadshow to the restaurant on May 31st. Popular dishes will be highlighted, along with an extensive on-camera interview with GM Amanda Lear and other key staff about the restaurant’s special place in the community. The episode will be aired extensively on social media channels at a later date. Charley’s Tavern was nominated to be on the Roadshow by customer Linda Backer, who noted the staff makes Charley’s special in addition to the great food, most notably the wings, homemade ‘Charley’s Chips’ and the prime rib and tacos. Charley’s Tavern offers an American pub-style menu with appetizers, pizza and salads, burgers and sandwiches, and hearty entrees such as the signature Uncle Thom’s Shrimp over Pasta, chicken pot pie, and IPA battered fish and chips. They have a large outdoor patio that has a festive atmosphere with string lights and umbrellas. Events and games, such as darts, karaoke, bingo, live music, nightly food specials and happy hour ensure a good time for everyone.
