Temporary Traffic Signal Activated In Front Of Chick-fil-A
Yesterday morning, on February 29, 2024, the temporary traffic light in front of Chick-fil-A at the intersection of Canada Road and Lake District Drive was activated. According to the City of Lakeland the light will flash for a week following the mandatory 7-day flash period. Next Thursday, March 7, 2024, the light will change to stop-and-go operation. That change is expected to take place at 9:00 AM.

JACKSON, Tenn.– This map show the most “at risk” counties for tornado damage in the United States. Among the top 1,000, there are 13 counties in West Tennessee; 6 of which are in the top 500, and 1 placing in the top 30. This study determined which counties faced the largest risk of destruction. The most at risk county in West Tennessee and across the entire state was Shelby County, which ranked 39th in the United States–with an expected annual loss from tornadoes of $61 million.

Millington Lions Club, along with providing sight and hearing services, also offers a Peace Poster Contest for middle school students in Munford and Millington. The theme this year was “Dare to Dream”. The Club presented the winner, Ridhika Islam from Munford Middle School, with a $50 check. COVINGTON, Tenn. — A historical building collapsed during high winds in downtown Covington on Monday evening, according to the Covington Police Department.
