PNC Bank to open 16 new Upstate SC branches

PNC Bank plans to add 42 new branches in high-growth South Carolina markets by 2031, including 16 in the Upstate. The Pennsylvania-based bank announced its expansion plans within the Palmetto State on Nov. 6. Twelve of the new branches will be located in Greenville and four will be in Spartanburg.

Greenville bus company serving major sports teams is sold

A Greenville-based company that serves sports teams across the United States has been sold after nearly three decades. Champion Coach , a bus charter company, has been acquired by family equity firm Hoffmann Family of Companies , according to a news release. Champion Coach was founded in 1998 by Craig Dance and his wife, Hazel. The company began with four white motorcoaches and has since grown into a name in sports and corporate transportation, serving professional and collegiate sports teams across the country, according to the release. "I couldn't be happier to welcome the Dance family into Hoffmann Transportation," said Tim Rose, president of Hoffmann Transportation. "For nearly 30 years, Champion has earned the trust of some of the biggest names in professional and collegiate sports with a level of professionalism, safety and hospitality that's unrivaled in our industry.
