Hampton’s outdoor pool complex will open for the season on May 25, with hours from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The complex includes a heated in-ground pool with a zero-foot walk-in area and spray feature, four adult lap lanes, two small slides, one large slide and two diving boards. (KDKA) -- Union Township residents who were hit by an EF2 tornado can now call a phone line for help.The township says PA 211 is helping Union Township residents, and two national volunteer groups, Team Rubicon and Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, are providing their services for free. Police arrest Greensburg man connected with December hit-and-run
GREENSBURG, Pa. (KDKA) -- A man is now in custody, months after police say he hit a 76-year-old woman and drove away.Greensburg police say Christopher Degnan was arrested Friday evening.They say he hit the woman at South Main and West Third streets in Greensburg last December. Police say Degnan told them he thought he'd hit a pothole."He did not show any remorse. And again, you hit a person and you don't stop and render aid," Detective Sergeant Justin Scalzo said. North Huntingdon seeks new rules for backyard chicken raising
North Huntingdon officials may have put the battle over backyard chickens behind them by setting in motion stricter requirements for raising poultry in a neighborhood. The township commissioners last week authorized advertising an ordinance that would require property owners to have at least one acre of land in a residential neighborhood if they want to keep chickens.
