Lockout lifted at elementary school in West Valley City
WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, May 20, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — A lockout placed on Stansbury Elementary Monday morning has been lifted. An initial statement from the Granite School District said the West Valley City school had entered lockout protocol “due to a homeless individual who wandered onto campus. Law enforcement is working to remove that individual from our campus. There is no direct threat to the school and the protocol was enacted out of an abundance of caution by law enforcement.

SANDY — A woman is facing criminal charges accusing her of stealing her roommate's urn that contained the ashes of her son. Tianna Grace Talbot, 22, of Redmond, Sevier County, was charged in 3rd District Court on Monday with abuse or desecration of a body, a third-degree felony, and theft, a class A misdemeanor.
