DOYLESTOWN, PA—Easton Road will be reduced to one lane next week as part of the ongoing roundabout construction at the intersection of New Britain Road/Sauerman Road.

On Tuesday, April 30, Easton Road will be reduced to one lane for 24 hours. During the lane closure, motorists will be detoured to Lower State Road, U.S. 202 and Easton Road.

PennDOT began working on the intersection earlier this year. The plan is to install a roundabout at the busy intersection to reduce the number of crashes.

PennDOT will construct two adjacent single-lane roundabouts at the intersection. The roundabouts will include new drainage and sidewalks; ADA-compliant crossings; bicycle facilities, lighting, and full-depth pavement reconstruction.

For more on PennDOT’s plans to reshape the intersection, see previous TAPinto Doylestown coverage.
