Since opening its first store in Philadelphia in 2012, Honeygrow has expanded to 40 locations in the northeast part of the country.

The addition of the new restaurant to the Barn Plaza is just the beginning of big changes coming to the shopping center.

The closing of the old movie theater and the Applebee’s will usher in a wave of construction. Early plans call for four new buildings to be built in the complex that will feature six restaurants, four retail stores and a medical office.

Three of the buildings will be built on the site of the movie theater. The fourth will be built near the location of the old Applebee’s.

Developers are planning to demolish the iconic silos that have been in front of the shopping since the movie theater was rebuilt in 1997.

Barn Plaza will also get a Whole Foods and Barnes and Noble in the space that used to be home to Marshall’s and HomeGoods.
