Doylestown 18-Year-Old Wanted in Knife Attack at Local Pizzeria

NEW BRITAIN BOROUGH, PA—An 18-year-old man is wanted by police after allegedly slashing an employee’s arm at a local pizzeria.

Central Bucks Regional Police said that on April 14, Panajotis “Pano” Tafa of Doylestown entered Delizia Pizza, which is located on Butler Pike next to the 7-Eleven, at about 2:30 p.m. accompanied by a 16-year-old male. Police said that the juvenile started an argument with an employee of the pizzeria before going behind the store’s counter and punching that person in the face.

When the employee pushed the juvenile to the ground, police said that Tafa rushed over and pulled out a knife. When a second employee tried to hold back Tafa to keep him from attacking the other worker, the second employee was slashed on their arm.

Tafa is being charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, possession of an instrument of crime, simple assault and reckless endangerment. Police are asking anyone with information about Tafa to contact Officer Matthew Peppelman at 215-345-4143.
