First Alert: Brutal heat continues through Labor Day
Hot and humid weather conditions will keep on keepin’ on around the Mid-South through at least Labor Day Weekend. Afternoon high temperatures through Labor Day [September 7th] will climb into at least the upper 90s and have the potential of meeting and exceeding 100° on Saturday and Sunday. Beyond that, afternoon highs are still going to climb into the middle to upper 90s, so there is not going to be much relief whatsoever for the first full week of September. Even as the middle of September starts to unfold, there isn’t much optimism about cooler temperatures.
