Alante Partlow Wanted In DC For Shooting Father, Daughter
Investigators have identified 29-year-old Alante Partlow as a suspect who is wanted for a late-night shooting on Tuesday night, officials say. At around 11:30 p.m. on April 23, police say that officers were called to the 4800 block of North Capitol Street NE, where they found a man and his daughter suffering from gunshot wounds.

New program launched in DC to stop drivers from passing school buses picking up kids
WASHINGTON — A new program to stop drivers passing stopped school buses has been introduced in the District. The Bowser administration announced the Stop-Arm Safety Program on Tuesday. Under it, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) and the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) will install stop-arm safety cameras on 25 OSSE school buses to help curb dangerous driving behavior.

Hundreds of DC area university students, faculty, and onlookers gathered at George Washington University on Thursday, as students set up tents and chanted in protest of Israel’s ongoing war in Gaza. The encampment is being organized by the DMV Coalition of Students for Justice in Palestine, which includes students from several local schools, including Georgetown, Howard, University of Maryland, and Gallaudet.
