SouthCoast in Action: Whaling City kicks off 2024 season
Here's a look at the opening week of action for Whaling City Youth Baseball. Apex Electrical 13, Wonder Bowl 0: The defending Champions started the 2024 season in much the same way they finished the last season, with another win. Ethan Dube and Dakota Gamage were on top of their game on the mound as the pair combined to toss a one hitter and strike out eight Wonder Bowl hitters. Ruben Vazquez and Gamage had two hits and knocked in two runs each as well. Jared Nunes and Isaiah Figueroa knocked in two runs as well, and Landyn Jerome checked in with his first career hit for the Electric Company. Zhakiye Guidry had the lone hit for Wonder Bowl, a fourth inning base hit. The Electric Company sent the message on Opening Day that they are ready to make another strong run at a playoff spot.

It grew as he defeated the state's best, match after match. After dominating play for the first two days at the Rhode Island Interscholastic League Boys Tennis Singles State Championship, Steere’s confidence reached its peak and it showed. His 6-2, 6-0 win over Lincoln’s Camden DiChiara was something he had thought about for years and, with where his confidence was, there was no way it wasn’t going to happen.
