Moped accident in rural Jackson County claims life of Newport man
A Newport man died after a two-vehicle accident in rural Jackson County Wednesday morning. In the fatality report, Arkansas State Police said Harley L. Liles, 59, was killed when the westbound 2022 Taotao moped he was driving on Highway 384 was struck from behind by a 2014 GMC Acadia. The driver of the Acadia, whose name was not listed on the report, was not injured.

Nonprofit donates blankets to foster care organization
