Annapolis, Maryland - Authorities are delving into the "suspicious death" of a potential kidnapping victim, whose body was reportedly discovered in a wooded locale last week. According to the Baltimore Police Department, the incident unfolded on March 28, just before 1 a.m., when officers were summoned to a residence following reports of a home invasion. Upon arrival, a woman recounted to the police that two unidentified men forcibly entered her home, demanding money. They purportedly claimed to have her son, 47-year-old David Winchester Jr., and threatened harm unless she complied with their monetary demands. The suspects absconded from the premises without the ransom.

The Denver City Council learned more Wednesday about the workforce development component of the Denver Asylum Seekers Program. The city has transitioned the way it helps migrants, closing shelters and instead placing 800 people in the asylum program. New migrant arrivals will not be eligible for the six-month work program until some graduate, according to a presentation by city staff.
