DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit Police say a 13-year-old girl who went missing last week has been found, and is OK.

Police said Laniyah Smith left her house in the 2600 block of Webb — in the Dexter Linwood area — without permission on Wednesday, March 27. She was reported missing by her family when she didn't return home.

After asking for tips to help find the teen, the Detroit Police Department sent an update Monday, stating that Smith had been recovered and is doing fine.

It's unclear where she'd been, as no further details were released.

Anyone with information about missing juveniles in the Metro Detroit area is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak Up (800-773-2587), or submit information online at this link .
