1 dead after Wednesday night shooting in Denver

A man is dead after a shooting that happened Wednesday night in east Denver.

The shooting happened in the area of East Colfax Avenue and Spruce Street, according to the Denver Police Department.

Police first posted about the shooting on the social platform X at 8:21 p.m. Wednesday.

The victim in the shooting, a man, was taken to the hospital, police said. In an update Thursday morning, police said the man had died at the hospital.

No arrests have been made in this case, police said.
