Central Alabama saw two EF-1 Tornadoes within ten minutes of each other last night
BIRMINGHAM, Ala (WDHN) — Last night, June 5, two EF-1 tornadoes ripped through northwestern Central Alabama, causing winds upwards of 95 mph. The first EF-1 tornado was near Bexar in Marion county, and the second was near Winfield in Fayette and Marion. Neither tornado lasted longer than 10 minutes and both started and ended between 6:50 and 7:02 p.m..
Family pleading for closure 36 years after man goes missing from Moulton
In 1988, Rickey Nelms went from his hometown of Moulton with a man named Jerry Trussell to Kansas to go to work repairing homes after storms. His sister Regina says Rickey would call home once a week and visit often. At one point, Rickey told his family he would be going to court.
