Paragould council approves firearms ordinance, applies for grants
A person can face up to a $1,000 fine and 30 days in jail if they decide to discharge a firearm inside the Paragould city limits, under a new ordinance approved Monday. The Paragould City Council gave approval for the ordinance, which was last reviewed in the 1970’s, according to Mayor Josh Agee.
Public comment meeting held for proposed bypass in Pocahontas
Pocahontas, Ark. (KAIT) - A public comment meeting was held at the Pocahontas Community Center Tuesday afternoon to discuss a proposed bypass connecting Highways 67 and 90. According to ARDOT Public Information Officer Dave Parker, the bypass is intended to alleviate traffic congestion in downtown Pocahontas and improve the quality of life for its residents.
