Lorimor woman booked on warrants in Creston
(Creston) -- A Lorimor woman was arrested on multiple warrants in Creston Tuesday evening. The Creston Police Department says 43-year-old Megan Marie Brown was arrested shortly before 6 p.m. on four warrants, all for failure to appear on the original charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor, driving while barred, an aggravated misdemeanor, possession of a controlled substance--marijuana and methamphetamine, 1st offense--both serious misdemeanors, and for failure to serve jail time on the charge of person ineligible to carry dangerous weapons, a serious misdemeanor. Authorities say the arrest occurred at 307 North Street.
Local lawyers recognized for 50 years of service
In June, a trio of local lawyers were honored for 50 years of service in law by the Iowa State Bar Association (ISBA) - Gary Kimes, Judge John Lloyd and Bob Reynoldson. The three were recognized at the annual ISBA dinner, along with other lawyers from around the state who also achieved the 50-year mark as members of the ISBA.

Manhattan Man dead after crash near Missouri/Iowa border
