Carbondale Police investigating traffic incident involving pedestrian
CARBONDALE, Ill. (KFVS) - The Carbondale Police Department is investigating a traffic incident involving a pedestrian. According to the police department, the incident happened at S. Wall Street and E. Walnut St. on May 31. We will continue to update as more information becomes available.
Court records detail how police caught 2 men who allegedly helped scam an Ionia Co. woman out of $45,000
IONIA COUNTY, Mich. — Court records are providing new details into how two men allegedly helped in scamming an elderly Ionia County woman out of $45,000. The two men have been identified as Jainav Sanjaykumar Patel, 25, of Carbondale, IL and Alonzo Lee Waheed Jr, 27, of Marion, Illinois. They were both charged with Conspiracy to Commit False Pretenses in the amount of $20,000 or more but less than $50,000, or fraud.
Southern Illinois police and fire agencies attend active shooter management training
MARION, Ill. (KFVS) - Several agencies from across southern Illinois have been learning how to respond in an active shooter situation. The course is hosted by the Illinois Fire Service Institute. Director JP Moore says the course aims to encourage cooperation and ensure various police, fire, and emergency management agencies can work as one to manage an incident should a worst-case scenario become a reality.
