GEORGETOWN – The Cissna Park High School girls basketball team won 51-25 in its Vermilion Valley Conference debut over Georgetown-Ridge Farm on Saturday. Lauryn Hamrick scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds off the bench for Cissna Park (6-2, 1-0 VVC) while Addison Lucht also scored in double figures with 12 points, four rebounds, six steals and five assists.

Clinton Central High School boys’ basketball coach Derek Davis has announced that the school is having an Alumni Night on Thursday, December 21 at the high school. Davis sent out a letter to former boys’ basketball players, managers, cheerleaders and coaches to the event prior to the tip-off of the varsity game that night against North Vermillion.

Clinton Prairie boys’ basketball player Jake McGraw was named as “The Farmers Bank Player of the Game” for his performance against Sheridan Friday night. A Player of the Game will be chosen after each week game the basketball season.

The Lady Vikings pick up their first win of the season beating South Vermillion by a score of 50 to 7. All of the Lady Vikings contributed both on the offensive end and the defensive end. The Lady Vikings were lead in scoring by Lily Ramirez who scored 12 points.
