Kyrie Irving and the Dallas Mavericks went into Minnesota and took down the Timberwolves on the road, stealing home-court advantage from the favored Wolves.

Prior to their Game 1 matchup, Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards spoke on himself having Jamal Murray in "handcuffs" in the second round and detailed his excitement to go head-to-head against Irving and do the same thing.

Edwards may be on the top of every social media page during these playoffs, but Irving had the edge on Wednesday.

Irving went off in Game 1 for the Mavs. He scored 30 points on the match, finally having success in the first half. He went right at Edwards and dared him to play iso; Edwards lost this battle.

"I used it as motivation…That's a no-fear mentality, and that's why we love Ant," said Irving, via Hoope Central on X.

“As a peer, man, I love that. It’s nothing better. When Ant was a little younger, I’m sure he was watching me and when he was in high school I was watching him...that no fear mentality that he has is why I love him," Irving continued
