Charlotte man sentenced after troopers discover drugs following 2023 chase
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A Charlotte man will spend 25-30 years in prison after North Carolina state troopers found drugs following a chase in 2023. According to the Gaston County District Attorney’s Office, Carlton Deprece Thomas was sentenced for his convictions of trafficking in fentanyl by possession, trafficking in fentanyl by transportation, traffficking in methamphetamine by transportation and felony fleeing to elude arrest. In addition to his prison sentence, a judge ordered Thomas to pay $550,000 in fines. The jury trial lasted three days.
