    Good morning, folks!

Starting the morning with temps in the 50s and 40s across the High Plains. For today, we should see a significant cooldown in the Texas Panhandle as a cold front is pushing in. Wind gusts have increased along and behind the front with the highest wind gust so far in Dalhart at 54 mph. Gusts up to 40-50 mph will continue as the front pushes south with winds decreasing by the afternoon. For today, temps will increase into the 60s for most of the coverage area. Our rain potential will even increase for Saturday as showers with some embedded thunderstorms are in the forecast. Rain will move out by Sunday morning. We could see rainfall as early as late Friday. Moisture will favor areas to the south and southeast with the potential of a quarter of an inch of rainfall to half and inch. Less amounts the further north you go into the High Plains.
