ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ/GasBuddy Release)- Average gasoline prices in Roanoke remain unchanged from last week, averaging at $3.39 per gallon, according GasBuddy’s survey of 155 stations in Roanoke. Prices in Roanoke are 6 cents per gallon higher versus a month ago and stand 3.4 cents per gallon higher than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has fallen 2.9 cents in the last week and stands at $3.98 per gallon.

Safe Community Expo to raise money for Project Lifesaver
ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - The Roanoke City Sheriff’s Office is planning a day of fun at its upcoming Safe Community Expo and the money raised will benefit Project Lifesaver. Project Lifesaver helps families across the Star City protect their loved ones with cognitive impairments who tend to wander. The program gives families a small radio transmitter that their loved one can then wear on their wrist or ankle and help with emergency response if the person walks off.
