North Texas Man Suing Cinemark Over Drink Size
DALLAS (KDAF) — Are two ounces worth the trouble of a lawsuit?. A North Texas man is suing Plano-based Cinemark over an alleged difference in drink sizes. The class action lawsuit was filed on Wednesday, April 17 by Shane Waldrop, who claims that Cinemark is selling drink containers that are labeled as 24 ounces but only hold 22 ounces. The lawsuit was filed at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Sherman District, and says the alleged claim amounts to “deceptive and otherwise improper business practices.” Waldrop also called for a trial by jury.

DALLAS (KDAF) — Severe storms are possible Thursday afternoon and evening across North and Central Texas. The DFW metroplex will most likely see storms between 4 – 8 p.m. The National Weather Service reported, “A cold front will arrive this afternoon, bringing thunderstorm chances back to the region late afternoon through this evening. A few severe storms with large hail and damaging winds are possible. Cooler air will enter tonight behind the cold front.”
