Driver dead after crashing into light pole
(KNOX) – A motorist is dead after the vehicle he was driving struck a light pole at the southeast corner of 13th Avenue and South Washington. Just after 10 this morning…Grand Forks Police were dispatched to the scene… where a 2010 Chevy Malibu had struck the light pole. The driver was removed from the driver’s seat when officer realized he was unresponsive.

(Valley News Live) - Around 11:00pm on the night of Monday, February 19th, North Dakota Highway Patrol, along with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office responded to several reports of a wrong-way driver along I-29. 30-year-old Trevor John Christensen of Dilworth, Minn. was arrested and is now facing multiple charges after he allegedly drove southbound in the northbound lane of I-29 near Grandin, for nearly 20 miles. Troopers say they received a total of 9 calls from witnesses Monday night.

In a rematch of their January 2nd clash, the Valley City Hi-Liners and the Carrington Cardinals met in Mayville to see who would move on to the State Tournament in Minot. Both teams came into the game with matching 17-7 records, and after one-quarter of play, both teams would have matching 17-17 scores. The game would turn into the classic battle of efficiency vs. explosiveness, as Carrington’s barrage of three-pointers kept them in lockstep with Valley City, who pounded away inside.
