Plymouth's Sophie Wray is triple event winner at Bremen girls track sectional
Plymouth senior Sophie Wray was a triple winner and qualified for the Kokomo Regional in four events Tuesday night at the IHSAA Girls Track & Field Bremen Sectional. Wray won the 1,600-meter run (5 minutes, 11.61 seconds), the 800 (2:23.39) and the 3,200 (11:34.18) and was a member of Plymouth's third-place 4x800 relay team. The top three finishers in each event move on to regional.

After flying high against Hammond Central last Saturday, Culver Academies came back down to earth. The Culver Academies Eagles lost 9-2 to the Kouts Mustangs & Fillies on Tuesday. Culver Academies was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Kouts apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2021.

Culver Community lost against North Judson-San Pierre back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Culver Community Cavaliers fell just short of the North Judson-San Pierre Bluejays by a score of 10-9. Culver Community has not had much luck with North Judson-San Pierre recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Everything went their way against the Delphi Community Oracles as the Winamac Warriors made off with a 16-5 victory. Winamac lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Knox, but it's fair to say they've redeemed themselves given the result of 3's game. The Winamac Warriors were the clear victor by an 8-2 margin over the Knox Redskins on Wednesday. This was a revenge contest for Winamac, as the team was forced to settle for a 4-2 loss when these two played on Tuesday.

North Miami was the 10-3 winner over Winamac when they last played one another back in May of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The North Miami Warriors fell just short of the Winamac Warriors by a score of 4-3 on Saturday. North Miami has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
