Missing: 21-year-old Woman Last Seen on Broadway
May 6, 2024 – A search is underway for a woman who was last seen on Broadway in Nashville. According to Cookeville Police, 21-year-old Lanica Smith went missing May 4th. She was last seen on Broadway and 4th. Police say she is 240lbs and 5’11’’ tall.
RCHS holds Family Fun Day at fairgrounds
Rhea County High School held a Family Fun Day on Tuesday, May 7, at the Rhea County Fairgrounds in Evensville for seniors. The event featured games, live entertainment and vendor booths, as well as informational booths from local organizations.

More scattered showers and storms are currently developing across Middle Tn, however they are not as intense as earlier activity. Some good news has come from the Storm Prediction Center. They have trimmed the moderate risk (level 4 out of 5) just a bit west of us. It’s not a huge move but we’ll take any good news we can get. The greatest risk for severe storms overnight will be in the red-shaded region. That had earlier been shaded all the way to the plateau. We remain in the enhanced risk (level 3 out of 5) which is certainly high enough to remain weather aware.
