The collision occurred in Hartford County around 11:20 p.m., Monday, June 10, in the northbound lane south of Exit 38 in Windsor. According to Connecticut State Police, Jonathan Scott Schlagel, of Enfield, was driving a 2000 Triumph Sprint RS when he hit the rear of a 1999 Dodge Ram 3500.

Search underway after man jumps from Arrigoni Bridge: Middletown officials.
MIDDLETOWN, Conn. — The Middletown Fire Department is on the scene of a person who reportedly jumped into the Connecticut River off the Arrigoni Bridge. Middletown and Portland police were called to the bridge around 9:40 a.m. on the report of a man jumping into the river. When officers got to the scene, they were told that the man parked his vehicle in an active construction area on the Portland side of the bridge. From there, they jumped over the fence and into the river, police said.
