PEORIA (25News Now) - Peoria Police say they’re investigating a Tuesday night shooting, in which a man was hurt when he was hit by flying glass. UPDATED: (9:50 p.m.) — A Peoria police officer was in the area of the 100 block of East Forrest Hill when several shots were fired, said the department’s spokeswoman. A Peoria man was killed late Sunday in an accident with a semi-truck along Interstate 80 near the Illinois-Iowa border. The Scott County Sheriff's Office said that Eric Fraelle, 52, was killed when his 2024 Chevrolet Trax was rear-ended by a semi-truck, forcing the vehicle into a ditch while the two were driving eastbound along I-80 at mile marker 288 1/2. Petersen Health Care is asking a federal bankruptcy judge to approve a sale timeline that would see its nursing homes divested to new ownership by the end of July.
