Dunlap High School senior killed in head-on crash in Peoria
A Dunlap High School senior was killed late Saturday night when her vehicle was involved in a head-on collision near the Louisville Slugger Sports Complex in northwest Peoria. Nevaeh Mitchell, 18, of Princeville, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in the 8400 block of North Orange Prairie Road at 12:27 a.m. Sunday. According to the Peoria County Coroner's Office, Mitchell had been driving north along Orange Prairie Road when her vehicle collided with one traveling southbound in the northbound lanes.

A deadly crash in Peoria claimed the life of a pedestrian late Thursday night, police report. The incident occurred near the intersection of 78th and Olive Avenues around 10:41 P.M., according to FOX 10 Phoenix. A car traveling westbound on Olive Avenue struck the pedestrian, who was in the roadway at the time. Local law enforcement responded to the scene and found the victim deceased upon their arrival.

Victim’s name released in fatal Rock Island accident
UPDATE: According to the Rock Island County Coroner’s office, Steven Aeschliaman, 40, of East Peoria was killed in the accident. The cause of death has not been released, pending further investigation. The case remains an open and active investigation by the Rock Island Police Department and the Rock Island County Coroner’s Office.
