Inglewood Transit Connector Breaks Ground

This morning, city and state leaders celebrated the beginning of construction of the Inglewood Transit Connector (ITC). The project was long intended to be an automated people mover connecting SoFi Stadium and the nearby Metro K Line. When available funding proved insufficient for full people mover construction in time for the 2028 Olympics/Paralympics, the project was scaled back.

LA Council Panel Pushes LADOT To Swap Flimsy Bike Bollards For Concrete

Ridership fluctuates somewhat depending on the time of the year; winter and summer generally see slightly lower ridership than spring and fall. Vincent Thomas Bridge Closing Until 2028

Blinking electric signs warning of the closure of the Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro have appeared along the 5 freeway near Dodger Stadium, some 25 miles from the span. The 6,000-foot span is closing on November 7 for more than a year as the 63-year-old roadway deck (the horizontal part of the structure) is removed and replaced. A full 24/7 closure in both directions is required to replace the concrete roadway, railings, barriers and seismic sensors. Heavier trucks and corrosion from sea air contributed to the deterioration.

Orange County faces major cuts to Metrolink ahead of proposed 2027 schedule
