Attacker sought after punching and stabbing Metro bus driver in Willowbrook
Authorities are looking for a man who punched and stabbed a Metro bus driver Saturday in Willowbrook. The attacker armed with a knife began yelling at the driver, who stopped at about 8:30 p.m. near 119th Street and Wilmington Avenue in the southern Los Angeles County community. The man punched the driver and stabbed him with the knife when the bus stopped at the Willowbrook/Rosa Parks Station, according to the sheriff's department.
74-year-old man shot and killed in South LA
Police are investigating a shooting that left a 74-year-old man dead inside of a South Los Angeles bar late Tuesday evening. It happened at around 9:50 p.m. in the 1600 block of W. Manchester Boulevard, according to Los Angeles Police Department officers.They say that they were called to the scene after receiving calls of a shooting in the area and arrived to find the man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside of a bar and restaurant. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics were called to assist and pronounced the man dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin. Investigators did not have any information on a possible suspect or motive in the incident. They recovered a handgun and shell casings in the area.
23-Year-Old Woman Last Seen in Inglewood Located
A 23-year-old woman who went missing in Inglewood was found, authorities said Tuesday. Noelle M. Lynch was last seen around 5 p.m. on April 3 walking from an apartment building in the 900 block of East Redondo Boulevard, near Florence Avenue and the Inglewood Park Cemetery, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
