Mountain snow, wintry mix on the High Desert
The High Desert can expect a mix of rain and some snow throughout the morning. Showers should be tapering down by the afternoon hours. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 11am for the East Slopes of the OR Cascades, including the cities of La Pine, Sunriver and Sisters. Snow levels will be 4000 to 5000 feet. Travel through the mountain passes will be a challenge, so drive with caution.

Total snow accumulations of 5 to 8 inches and gusty winds expected. Lower snow totals of less than one inch are forecast along US-97 south of Bend.
