High temps in Fresno to fall 20 degrees this week. What to expect in Central Valley and state
Despite chilly weekend mornings, the high temperature in Fresno is expected to touch 90 Saturday and then fall to 70 by Wednesday. Back to reality, much cooler this weekend
We ended up much cooler this morning than originally thought but ample sunshine and a very light east wind should help push temperatures into the mid to upper 70s. Hopefully you’ve soaked up all the sun and anomalous warmth the last few days because changes are on the way! A cold front will make a pass over the area overnight and early tomorrow morning. There isn’t much moisture associated with the front, but a few light showers/sprinkles are expected Saturday morning before drying out and gradually clearing through the afternoon. Highs will be much cooler compared to yesterday and Thursday. Expect temperatures to only reach the mid 60s. Skies will become partly cloudy to mostly clear overnight with lows dropping into the low to mid 40s. Sunday appears to be the nicer day of the weekend! Expect sunny skies with thin, high-level clouds in the afternoon. Clouds will gradually thicken up, becoming mostly cloudy by Sunday night. Temperatures will top out in the mid 60s before cooling into the mid 40s overnight.
