Fruitland man faces possible 10-year prison sentence over assault charge
A Fruitland man faces a possible 10-year prison sentence after being charged with assault over an incident last month that centered on a family dispute. Justin Tso, 36, a member of the Navajo Nation, faces a federal charge of assault with a dangerous weapon and aiding and abetting for the March 23 incident in Fruitland allegedly initiated by Tso and his brother, according to a news release issued by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Mexico.

2024 Turkey Hunt Season At Valles Caldera Begins Today
JEMEZ SPRINGS – The 2024 turkey hunt season begins today, April 15, and runs through April 30 at Valles Caldera National Preserve. Twenty tags were issued through the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish and each tag is good for one bearded turkey. The park is home to an estimated 400 Merriam turkeys.
