Houston Academy names Klinger as next girls basketball coach
DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - A new era for girls basketball at Houston Academy is set to begin, as the school announced on Monday the hiring of 20 year coaching veteran Ken Klinger. Klinger, a native of Montgomery, will serve as the head coach for HA’s middle school, junior varsity and varsity level girls basketball teams.

Golf legacies set to flood 75th Future Masters Golf Tournament
DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — We’re just over a month and a half from the 75th Annual Future Masters Tournament at the Dothan Country Club. The historic tournament is one of the biggest sporting events in the Wiregrass each year, and in the 75-year history it has seen many golf greats pass through, so many that children of those legends and even grandchildren have come through as well.
WIREGRASS SOCCER: Dothan boys’ and girls’ host Auburn
DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The Dothan Wolves had a busy Friday night as the boys’ and girls’ soccer teams hosted Auburn in the second round of the AHSAA 7A playoffs. The girl’s team started the evening and had some momentum going into halftime with a 1-0 lead thanks to a goal from Marah Delgado, but it would be the Tigers who would score two goals in the second half to take a 2-1 win. This marks the third year in a row that Dothan has been knocked out of the playoffs by Auburn.

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Auburn had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Dothan Wolves and snuck past 2-1. The win was familiar territory for Auburn who now have four in a row.
