BEACON – Coming into the Section 9 Class B football semifinals, Beacon understood what it needed to do in order to come out on top. The Bulldogs needed to completely stunt a dangerous Marlboro rushing attack led by Shawn DeLaigle, and the hope was that everything else would fall into place after that. The chips fell favorably for Beacon. Now, all that's left is to go chase a championship plaque.
