BMS 7th/8th Grade Boys Basketball
The Batesville 7th grade boys basketball team kept the winning streak alive by beating Connersville by a score of 35- 29. It was a physical game for the Bulldogs who found themselves leading at half 13-11. The Bulldogs hit 2, 3 pointers by Isiah Martin in the third quarter to help build a lead and would go on to win the game. Martin led the way for the Bulldogs with 13, Hank Bohman with 11, RJ Schuerman with 5, Lane Higham will 4, and Beckett Joens with 2. Batesville improves to 8-0 and faces North Decatur on Tuesday night at home.
Batesville Girls JV Basketball Win Against Connersville
The Batesville girls junior varsity Bulldogs improved their record to 6-1 with a home win against the Connersville Spartans by a score of 37-12. The Bulldogs were balanced in scoring with Sydney Campbell with 8 points, Grace Walter with 7 points and Ellie Westerfeld, Maddie Haskamp, and Lexiyne Harris each scoring 6.

The Centerville Bulldogs posted a 15-4 win over Broaddus, and a 13-0 blanking of Wells during last week’s play. Braden White collected four hits in four at bats, including an inside-the-park homerun in the fourth inning, a double in the second inning, and singles in the first and third innings, collecting 3 RBIs on the day.

Girls Varsity Basketball beats Lawrenceburg to improve to 2-0 in the EIAC.
Franklin County Varsity Lady Wildcats traveled to Lawrenceburg Wednesday November 22nd to take on a conference opponent. The Lady Cats came out strong with a great defensive game plan and the team executed perfectly. Senior Nicole Mears had the first 9 points for the visiting team and we found our selves up 9-3 early and 11-5 at the end of the first quarter. Senior Nicole Mears and Junior Madesyn Sunderhaus were in foul trouble late in the 2nd quarter but the team played hard without them in there and made sure we were able to go up 22-11 at half. At the end of the third frame the Lady Cats were up 33-17 and were well in control. The Lady Tigers were able to score 19 in the 4th quarter to close the gap on a lot of late FTs but the Lady Cats made sure to execute down the stretch to close out the game.

VINCENNES, Ind. – The Vincennes University Lady Trailblazers were not slowed by tip-off Monday night being delayed by 35 minutes, connecting on 16 made three-pointers, the most by a Lady Trailblazers team since March of 2021, to come away with a big 111-35 victory over Wayne County Community College.
Batesville 8th Grade Boys Basketball Defeats Franklin County
Batesville’s eighth grade boys basketball team put together an impressive effort on the road Monday night, coming home with a 40-24 win over Franklin County. The Bulldogs continued their stellar play on the defensive end and used a 14-4 run in the fourth quarter to put the game away. Carson Meyer and Levi Hunt scored in double figures with 13 points and 11 points respectively and the duo of Eli Denni and Jackson Peetz each had six points. Camden Kaiser added four points.
St. Louis 7th Grade Boys Basketball Defeats Rushville
The St. Louis 7th Grade Boys Basketball team went to 4-2 on the season with a 30-12 victory over Rushville. The Cardinals used a balanced scoring attack and good defense throughout the game as Rushville was never able to score more than 5 points in a single quarter. The Cardinals used a strong scoring first half from Luke Richardson who scored 9 of his 11 points en route to a 19-7 halftime lead. Jaxson Watson carried the scoring in the second half as he scored 6 of his 10 points. Cam Anderson added 4 points, Hunter Young had a 3-pointer, and Ryan McGuire had a scoring drive to the basket for 2 points.
