Ephrata man led officers on chase after threatening someone with knife, police say
LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — An Ephrata-area man was recently arrested for allegedly making threats and running from law enforcement officers, police announced Monday. According to the West Earl Township Police, officers responded on May 14 at approximately 6:47 p.m. to a residence on Hilltop Avenue in Akron for a domestic disturbance. An investigation revealed that 35-year-old Timothy Rinehults allegedly threatened someone with a knife and left the area with a cell phone and cash that did not belong to him.

Suspect In Custody Following Pre-Dawn Thefts From Lancaster Auto Dealership. (Lancaster, PA) -- A suspect is in custody after he allegedly stole several luxury vehicles from a Lancaster car dealership early Wednesday. Police say 18-year-old Yariel Fuentes-Reyes and at least two other suspects were spotted on surveillance video breaking into vehicles at Manheim Auto Auction shortly after midnight before they each drove off with stolen cars. Responding police reportedly found and arrested Fuentes-Reyes around 4 a.m. He was taken into custody and charged with reckless driving and attempting to flee from law-enforcement officers. Reyes' alleged accomplices remain at large. As of last night, Reyes remained behind bars. Police say a preliminary hearing in the case will be scheduled next week.

Child on bike struck in West Lampeter Township: police
A young girl riding her bike was hit by a car in the middle of an intersection in West Lampeter Township on Thursday, West Lampeter Township police said. First responders found the girl in the roadway at the intersection of Wiker Avenue and Francis Avenue with a severe head injury around 6:40 p.m., police said.
