Walking in memory of an East Aurora 19-year-old
EAST AURORA, N.Y. — A local non-profit will be walking for a good cause at the end of May, and is inviting the community to join them. Happening on Saturday, May 18 the 2.8 for Nate Foundation will be honoring the life of an East Aurora 19-year-old Nate Ljungberg who sadly lost his battle with Ewing Sarcoma in September of 2020.

Solomon’s Hidden Treasures
Solomon’s Hidden Treasures, a unique non-profit Thrift Store in Springville, offers a combination of new, used and antique items. It is run by volunteers supervised by Pastor Gail McCrory, the founder of Solomon’s Porch Ministries, a Non-Denominational Church in Mansfield, NY. Her daughter Hannah also helps run the store. “I love seeing our regular customers”, said the Pastor. “We truly have become a family around here”. Her daughter added, “My favorite thing about working here is when our customers send us, or show us, photos of how they have upcycled something they purchased here. Their creativity is amazing!” One customer used teapots they purchased from “Treasures” to create table centerpieces for events and fundraisers held for women who need financial help during their treatment for breast cancer.
