This weekend will have something for all your springtime gardening needs, saddle up for a few laughs, support local student art and more.
1. Antique & Garden Market at The Factory
It's that time of year for getting outdoors, especially those with a green thumb and an opportunity to upgrade the home garden.
The Factory at Columbia, 101 N. James M. Campbell Blvd., will host a special Antiques & Garden Market this weekend, taking place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
The market will feature a carefully-curated collection of patio and garden antiques, as well as professionals on-site to provide all kinds of horticultural education and items.
2. Standup comedy in Columbia
Columbia's got the laughs this weekend as comedians take the stage for a night of jokes, and at multiple spots.
The Mulehouse, 812 S. High St., will host Texas funnyman William Lee Martin "The King of Cowtown" starting at 8 p.m. Friday. Tickets range from $20-$25 and are available at www.TheMulehouse.com.
The Black Fox Lounge (formerly the Rusty Duck) at 403 Riverside Drive, will host Catch Deez Jokes starting at 7 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $20 for general admission, $40 for front row table seating and $100 for VIP booth seating.
Catch Deez Jokes performers will include headliner Belly Button, as well as featuring James Holiday, Krystal Majors, Caleb McGraw, Allie Newsom and host CJ Walton.
3. Bug out at Honey Bee Animal Rescue
Have a kid who is into the creepy crawlies, or maybe have a fascination yourself for what lurks within the bug world?
Hidden Bee Animal Rescue, 753 Carters Creek Pike, will host a Bug Adventure from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.
Guests will dive into the world of bugs, interacting with live insects such as worms, beetles, praying mantis, ladybugs and more.
This will be a hands-on learning experience, which includes Honey Bee's worm farm, teaching visitors all about the life cycle of insects and how they play a part in our daily lives.

4. Pryor Gallery K-12 art exhibition final weekend
The Pryor Art Gallery, located at Columbia State Community College at 1665 Hampshire Pike, will have its final showing of its K-12 exhibition this Friday.
The exhibit, which is free and open to the public, will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, featuring works of art created by local Maury County Public School students, as well as a few young artists from Zion Christian Academy.
“Our dedicated art teachers are excited to show off their students' diverse artwork,” Lisa Hoffman, Pryor Art Gallery curator, said. “This is a fun show, seeing the progression from K-12 arts education."
5. Live entertainment
Yonder Grove will perform at McCreary's Irish Pub & Eatery, 814 S. Main St., starting at 7 p.m. Friday.
Ella & Blaine will perform at Grinder's Switch Winery, 510 N. Garden St., starting at 6 p.m. Friday.
Shannon McCue will perform at McCreary's Irish Pub & Eatery, 814 S. Main St., starting at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Laura Drake Band will perform at The Boondox, 3543 Highway 431, starting at 8 p.m. Saturday.
Bald Kernal will perform at Fozzy's Bar & Grill, 150 Stephen P. Yokich Parkway in Spring Hill, starting at 8 p.m. Saturday.
Dushane will perform at The Rebel Bar and Grill, 307 Riverside Drive, starting at 4 p.m. Sunday.
