Local auto shops expecting more calls as 'Carolina Squat' law goes into effect
LEXINGTON, S.C. — As of Friday, the "Carolina Squat" is officially illegal in South Carolina. The law bans most vehicles driven on South Carolina roads if the front fender is raised four inches or more above the height of the rear fender. Pickup trucks cannot raise their front fender six inches or higher.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — If you've ever wanted a say on how your tax dollars are spent in Richland County, here's your chance. Richland County Council is seeking public comment on the upcoming 2024-2025 operating budget that begins on July 1, 2024, and ends on June 30, 3025. There is an in-person meeting scheduled for 6 p.m. May 23 for county residents to attend and weigh in on the budget that oversees the delivery of services, programs and resources. By law, the County must approve a balanced budget for the fiscal year before July 1.
