DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – After winning her second national championship in the last three years with South Carolina women’s basketball, former Wayne Warrior Bree Hall spoke with 2 Sports about the Gamecocks’ perfect season and run in the NCAA Tournament.

“I always wanted it to be my dream, but to actually really be living, it is just it’s unimaginable. You know, not everybody gets to experience it, but I’m still like, I really am a two time national champion,” said Hall.

The 2021 Wayne grad and former Penn Station Athlete of the Year scored 7 points in 18 minutes in No. 1 South Carolina’s 87-75 win over Caitlin Clark and No. 1 Iowa in the title game last Sunday.

Hall said that the support she’s received from the community and everyone back home is unmatched.

“I’ve been hearing from friends, family. I’ve heard from my high school coach, the people at my high school. I’ve heard from the mayor as well, just getting a lot of love and a lot of support from everybody,” added Hall.

Hall, now entering the offseason in her senior year, is set to return to help South Carolina begin another run towards a championship.
