Soccer Game Recap: Hickory Ridge Comes Up Short
Hickory Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake Norman Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Hickory Ridge of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April.

Hughes is still looking for their season's first win. They lost 13-5 to the Lewis County Panthers on Thursday. For Lewis County's part, Addison Morgan was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. Morgan was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with a double.
