Jacob Detherage and his young family were just six months removed from a serious vehicle accident when misfortune struck again on the same stretch of highway. MoDOT worker recovering after runaway tire hits him on Highway 13
BOLIVAR, Mo. (KY3) - A Missouri Department of Transportation worker is recovering after he was hit by a runaway tire while working on Highway 13 near Bolivar. Jacob Detherage did walk away with some pretty serious injuries. He says he has no memory of the accident, but we’re told by his wife that it happened when a truck pulling a trailer lost one of its tires at 70 miles per hour it then hit Jacob’s leg.
