Pullman Schools Dealing With Budget Crunch Caused By Dropping Enrollment And Inflation
PULLMAN - The Pullman School District is grappling with a budget crunch caused by inflation and declining enrollment. Pullman Schools Superintendent Dr. Bob Maxwell has provided a budget update to the community in his monthly newsletter. The district’s revenue is down nearly one million dollars due to dropping enrollment. There are 78 fewer students in Pullman Schools this year than what was budgeted. Pullman Schools are also experiencing about 900,000 dollars in increased costs for insurance and utilities.
