FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - May 1 marks the tenth anniversary of the deaths of two Alaska State Troopers (AST) killed in the line of duty. Trooper Gabe Rich and Sergeant Scott Johnson were investigating reports that a person had brandished a firearm in the village of Tanana several days earlier when they were shot and killed in an ambush.
Eagle River resident charged with possession of a firearm as a felon
FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - A man in Eagle River was charged last week for being a felon in possession of a firearm. In October 2023, Kyle Reynolds, 27, allegedly possessed a firearm during a domestic violence assault, according to court documents. Reynolds, prior to this alleged event, had a felony conviction for assault and failing to stop at the direction of a peace officer which resulted in serious injury.
